About Petros the Pelican
Petros is Mykonos' official mascot. Take a stroll by the sea and maybe you'll run into a crisp white pelican sunbathing in the rippling water. He is often accompanied by a man who acts as his guardian. You will most commonly find him relaxing around the Church of Agia Moni, or sat on the marble basin of a water monument in Gialos, next to the fish market.
