Many legends surround the Tria Pigadia. One has it that if a virgin drinks from all three wells she will be sure to find a husband. Another story says that if a man drinks from them he will marry a Mykonian woman. Whatever their alleged mystical powers, the wells were built in 1722 to provide Chora with water.
